Safeguarding Adults at Risk

Rosewood's young people make a transition into adulthood while they are still at school, and we also provide education for young adults in the Avenues setting.

We have the same principles in place for safeguarding our young adults as we do for safeguarding children.  We follow the policies and guidance set out by the Southampton Local Safeguarding Adults Board.

Staff who work with our young adults are aware of the specific safeguarding issues which might affect them, and continue to work closely with the relevant multi-disciplinary teams around each young person and their family.  This ensures a personalised approach which balances wellbeing with safety and prevention.

We believe strongly that we can act as advocates for our young people in safeguarding situations and engage with professional teams around our adults at risk in order to empower them and ensure that their voice is heard.
